The Back

The back of Jack's pullover is done, so that's a milestone!

  1. It's a really good, classic design - but I think the sleeves are the milestones - or the mountains, however you look at them! My son is well over 6 feet tall and his sleeves just go on and on! He told me last time that he really has enough sleeveless things and wants a "proper"jumper - I've been putting it off for at least 18 months now.

    1. ☺ lucky for me Jack's arms aren't too long! You'll have to do some mental gymnastics somewhere along the line.

  2. The cabling is beautiful in itself but I can't get over the "plain" parts- is that called seed stitch? The whole thing is a wow!

    1. It's moss stitch, two rows the same where seed stitch changes every row.

  3. Lovely, you're a very neat knitter Jane. Years ago now, when I knitted, I used to really enjoy knitting Aran patterns! Thanks for showing.

  6. I love this, I used to do a lot of fairisle and cable knitting in the past but not any more. I find the wool yarn so expensive now. I used to buy it in hanks and the jumpers I made for Tom lasted for years.

    1. Spinning the wool cuts down the cost, providing I don't cost my time!
